1949 Delahaye 135 M, by Alphonse Guilloré
This time Ed Fallon discusses with Alan Tayler of the esteemed restoration outfit Alan Taylor Company in Escondido, CA the fabulous 1949 Delahaye 135 M, by Alphonse Guilloré, a small coachbuilder from Paris. His designs were more subtle than those of Jacques Saoutchik but looser than those of Henri Chapron, thus creating a great balance. This car had been shown at Pebble back in the 80s, when it won first in Class. Now the Alan Taylor Company had it freshly restored for the 2018 event. We also learn how Alan got into cars and what made him fall for the French prewar cars in particular.
